Hope

the first and the last
both
are the places reserved for the winners
its either zero or one
you get all or you get none
but being in the middle always hurts
u dont get anything except hope
of trying again
may be then u could get to the other side
and mind you hope is something one should be beware of
it is the kid sister of expectations
the same blood flows there as well
the wounds given are equally fierce
i would rather want to be the last one
than being somewhere in the middle
but being the first is not what i desire at all
it hurts when you are at the top and alone
